Why this exists
About Still Here
The short version: recovery gave the founder his life back, and this page is part of paying that debt.
The story
Coffee and recovery, tangled from the start
The founder of Spiritus Coffee Co. in Lombard, Illinois has been sober in a twelve step fellowship for more than eighteen years. For him, coffee and recovery were never separate things; they happened in the same rooms. Church basements, styrofoam cups, the meeting after the meeting where the real talking got done.
So when he started a roastery, a free recovery page was always part of the plan. Not a marketing angle, just the same cup of coffee somebody once poured for him, passed along.
What this site is
A signpost
Verified crisis lines, meeting finders, free literature, a daily reflection, some quiet audio. That is the whole thing. It is made for friends in recovery and for anyone who found a card in a bag of coffee and got curious enough to type in the address.
What this site is not
Not treatment, not therapy
This site is not treatment, therapy, or medical advice. If you need those things, please reach for them; the crisis lines here can help you find the way.
We are not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Alcoholics Anonymous World Services or any fellowship. We just point at their public resources, with gratitude.
